About the Poetry

All of the poems in this blog are spirit-inspired. Every word came to me each day for a full year while in deep meditation. I simply wrote what I heard onto a pad of paper in my lap with eyes closed – meaningful, multi-stanza verses in mere minutes. I was unaware of each poem’s theme until I transcribed it later word for word. Each day brought new and wondrous discoveries about the world beyond our five physical senses, incredible wisdom, and messages of hope which I share with you in this blog. The last poems received are displayed below on this page, but the entire collection of 365+ poems are archived here in the left-hand column. You can search by topic or keyword using the search box in the upper left corner. May you find among them just the right message which speaks to your heart.

Poem #176

Well, friends, I just write down what I hear. Today's is a strange one. I've said it before: I'm no poet, so this one's open for interpretation... (Some of you will recognize this voice)

Creep, creep, like the vine
Slowly crawling back in time…
Hark!
Who goes there?
Who’s that calling?
Tis the past…
A long and snaking line.

Salute your memories,
Then let them drift and float away
Not sinking
Slowly drinking
Drops of thought that linger
To whet the hunger
For better days

The past… the future …
Why bother?
There is only here and now
Take a bow
Upon this stage on which you act
Do not just react
But be a shining star.

Learn your lines quite well
And you’ll escape this Hell
Ascending to the stars
Where beauty rains like silver glitter
Precious litter
Not to be discarded like the trash
But spread out like golden ash
Embers of the fire…
Of the light so bright
On this,
Your one and only stage

  1. Well, put - reminding us to remember the past and consider the future but not to dwell on it. Be in the moment- but don't just sit here - follow your purpose.and you will be enlightened and when you get to the otherside that is what truly matters - "your one and only stage" Nice to hear from you A.

  2. "Be a shining star..." I agree with Jan for sure this morning. Let go of the past and don't worry about the future..."There is only here and now." I love the theatrics and enjoy the poetry as well. I find your poetry quite refreshing and alive with wisdom, A. Thank you!

On to being a "shining star" today...

  3. I too enjoy the theatrics of this poem and do recognize the voice.

Life is a stage in many ways and how our lives play out is often a reflection of how we live each day. Our final exit is a stage we can prepare for by living in the moment..
