About the Poetry

All of the poems in this blog are spirit-inspired. Every word came to me each day for a full year while in deep meditation. I simply wrote what I heard onto a pad of paper in my lap with eyes closed – meaningful, multi-stanza verses in mere minutes. I was unaware of each poem’s theme until I transcribed it later word for word. Each day brought new and wondrous discoveries about the world beyond our five physical senses, incredible wisdom, and messages of hope which I share with you in this blog. The last poems received are displayed below on this page, but the entire collection of 365+ poems are archived here in the left-hand column. You can search by topic or keyword using the search box in the upper left corner. May you find among them just the right message which speaks to your heart.

Poem #196 - Paint on a Smile

Circus clowns with painted faces
Smile all the time.
Their happiness is painted on.
They always appear fine.

If you could only realize
You’re like the happy clown …
That inside you rests pure love…
You never would feel down.

Your spirit longs to be awake.
It asks to find release.
For once you come to know it,
You’ll discover inner peace.

No storms that brew, no outer strife
Can ever bring you woe,
As you become attuned within
And Spirit’s presence do you know.

Paint on a smile if you must.

Pretend that you are glad,
And focus on the love inside
To keep from feeling sad.

Then send that love to others
And feel a real connection
As you awake and feel the joy
Of sharing true affection.

All are Spirit at the core –
Connected at the source.
Great peace and joy await you
When guided by this inner Force.

  1. The clown image is a unique way of conveying the message of finding Spirit and the resulting love within oneself. I see the theme of "oneness" come through with strength in the words, "All are Spirit at the core--connected at the source."

On to "sending that love to others" and experiencing "peace and joy" today...

  2. Terrific poem. Clowns always stand out among the crowd because of their jovial spirit and colorful attire.

Good words to remember when feeling down. Reach inside to find the answers,to find that smile when darkness wells. Don't wait on others to burn away the sadness because we all have love to share and our own unique identity cannot be matched...
