About the Poetry

All of the poems in this blog are spirit-inspired. Every word came to me each day for a full year while in deep meditation. I simply wrote what I heard onto a pad of paper in my lap with eyes closed – meaningful, multi-stanza verses in mere minutes. I was unaware of each poem’s theme until I transcribed it later word for word. Each day brought new and wondrous discoveries about the world beyond our five physical senses, incredible wisdom, and messages of hope which I share with you in this blog. The last poems received are displayed below on this page, but the entire collection of 365+ poems are archived here in the left-hand column. You can search by topic or keyword using the search box in the upper left corner. May you find among them just the right message which speaks to your heart.

Poem #199 - Balance

Symptoms of sickness show up in the body.
Pain, discomfort, a limb that is shoddy.
Do not simply ignore what you feel.
A symptom’s not the thing you must heal.

Something inside is out of whack.
Time to get back on track.
Seek balance in your day.
Match your work with play.

You do so much running about…
Can there be much doubt?
You need to take the time to rest.
Your spirit always knows the best.

The body is the last to show
What inside you already know.
Time to put your soul at ease.
Before the body feels dis-ease.

Set aside the stress and worry.
Don’t always be in such a hurry.
Simple advice, but did you hear it?
Do you give enough time to your spirit?

Into each day put some peace and quiet.
Be careful also with your diet.
When body and soul you do nourish.
You’ll find your life will truly flourish.

  1. Poem #194 also speaks of "balance" in one's life. Obviously, this is a theme of importance from the world of spirit this week. The question asked today is one worthy of contemplation. "Do you give enough time to your spirit?"

May we remember to nourish both body and soul this day...

  2. This is a good poem for anyone.

So important to stay balanced, to watch our diet and to listen for clues that our bodies need rest. It's often hard to slow down and find time to do everything we want to do.

I just saw a show on Diabetes and they stressed how important it is to limit our sugar intake and to try and maintain a non-fatty diet. Unfortunately, disease often creeps into our lives in a very silent way.

May we all find more time to rest our spirit.
