The beauty of a flower
Reflects the greatest power.
How can you gaze upon its face
And not feel the touch of grace?
Colors soft and bright
Fill you with delight.
So delicate the shape…
At times you’re left to gape.
Wonder … awe … These words describe
The feelings that you have inside
To gaze upon a thing so fine
For it’s a reflection of the Divine.
Such jewels as flowers do exist
So that the message you won’t resist.
For it’s impossible to see
Such beauty without knowing true divinity.
So stop today and smell a flower.
Feel within your inner power.
The scent … the feeling … they’re the same
It’s “love” by any other name.
About the Poetry
All of the poems in this blog are spirit-inspired. Every word came to me each day for a full year while in deep meditation. I simply wrote what I heard onto a pad of paper in my lap with eyes closed – meaningful, multi-stanza verses in mere minutes. I was unaware of each poem’s theme until I transcribed it later word for word. Each day brought new and wondrous discoveries about the world beyond our five physical senses, incredible wisdom, and messages of hope which I share with you in this blog. The last poems received are displayed below on this page, but the entire collection of 365+ poems are archived here in the left-hand column. You can search by topic or keyword using the search box in the upper left corner. May you find among them just the right message which speaks to your heart.

Today's poem reminds me of my mother. Flowers were special to Mom, and she continues to send a "flower scent" to my daughter from the spirit world. A gardener all of her life, Mom saw the Divine in pansies, lilies, spring tulips, and each flower. As a child, I remember the "awe" of seeing the first tulips bloom in the spring at the side of our house in Minnesota.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Council of Poets, for this special poem and reminder to seek the beauty of the Divine in every flower...
The thought of flowers and spring is so welcoming. It's been such a cold winter and everything looks so barren. However, I have a little garden outside by our deck and there are several tiny purple pansies blooming and opening. To me thats amazing and flowers can be so resilient!
ReplyDeleteEvery day I step outside these baby pansies give me joy...
