About the Poetry

All of the poems in this blog are spirit-inspired. Every word came to me each day for a full year while in deep meditation. I simply wrote what I heard onto a pad of paper in my lap with eyes closed – meaningful, multi-stanza verses in mere minutes. I was unaware of each poem’s theme until I transcribed it later word for word. Each day brought new and wondrous discoveries about the world beyond our five physical senses, incredible wisdom, and messages of hope which I share with you in this blog. The last poems received are displayed below on this page, but the entire collection of 365+ poems are archived here in the left-hand column. You can search by topic or keyword using the search box in the upper left corner. May you find among them just the right message which speaks to your heart.

Poem #218 - Harnessing the Power of the Spirit

Certain beyond a doubt
For this you should strive
In understanding that your spirit
Is what keeps the mind alive.

There can be no death at all
For the soul goes on forever.
To understand this truth
Should be your sole endeavor.

Go within and feel the flow.
The life force you can sense.
It enters with your every breath
But you block it when you’re tense.

Relax and let the current flow.
Direct it with your mind.
Some call this “kundalini”
Which like a serpent does unwind.

As you learn to use this power,
Others’ spirits will you lift.
And as you grow in giving love,
True peace will be your gift.

  1. Such a lovely expression this morning of the importance of spending time in quiet meditation to free the flow of energy within our bodies. "Go within and feel the flow." And once we are able to control the flow with our minds, we continue on to send the energy and love to those around us...and the entire world. And our gift? "True peace will be your gift."

May we each experience the mind/energy connection today and send healing love to our world...

  2. Just love this poem. I especially like the line,"And as you grow in giving love, true peace will be your gift."

This poem speaks to me today because I felt a bit on edge. Keeping a rein on our tension allows us to stay calm and softens the jagged edges of our daily lives.

The words "kundalini" and "serpent" are very significant in describing the unravelling of our soul and "spirit"...
