About the Poetry

All of the poems in this blog are spirit-inspired. Every word came to me each day for a full year while in deep meditation. I simply wrote what I heard onto a pad of paper in my lap with eyes closed – meaningful, multi-stanza verses in mere minutes. I was unaware of each poem’s theme until I transcribed it later word for word. Each day brought new and wondrous discoveries about the world beyond our five physical senses, incredible wisdom, and messages of hope which I share with you in this blog. The last poems received are displayed below on this page, but the entire collection of 365+ poems are archived here in the left-hand column. You can search by topic or keyword using the search box in the upper left corner. May you find among them just the right message which speaks to your heart.

Poem 201 - Go With the Flow

Life is a journey.
A river that flows into eternity.
This piece of it upon which you float
Is but a segment.
You never know
What lies around the next bend.
Do not pretend
You have all the answers.

Relax and drift.
Let the water carry you.
No need to thrash and flail.
You’re not a prisoner in a jail.
Your spirit’s free to fly.
No need to struggle and to try.
For it can never die.

So just go with the flow.
Then true peace you’ll finally know.
Like a leaf that floats.
Riding with the current.
At one with the motion
Like a wave – part of the ocean
Moving forward never back
Yet in reality
Not moving at all.
Simply there.
Riding up and down.
Just being.

You are here
Hold this thought near.
There’s nowhere else to go
But with the flow.

  1. The river image today is quite lovely for sure, and it is extremely effective in illustrating the theme of "go with the flow." I especially like the similes of the "leaf" and the "wave." It couldn't be stated more beautifully or clearly..."Simply there. Riding up and down. Just being."

May we enjoy the "ride" today as we "go with the flow" on this journey called life...

  2. This poem puts me at ease. I feel like I'm on the water sailing or canoeing, "Riding with the current, at one with the motion."

Like flowing water, our lives will drift, if we turn our face to the warm sun and let our worries wash away with each wave as we become one with the present moment...
